Replaced the brake booster after finding it at fault for the P0507vacuum leak I have been chasing for several weeks now.
Leading evidence: 'Replace brake booster' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Thanks theprf…I’ll only adjust on the “adjusting nuts” on the yoke.

20 is just called a “nut” but maybe can adjust there

(a “real mechanic” for directing me to look there I got the replacement booster installed after a tedious process that included labeling each line to remember where it went. After finishing I have a brake pedal that still not level with the other pedals…so not a lot of travel when applying brakes to stop.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Always good to have a good forum to find advice…Thanks team. Replaced the brake booster after finding it at fault for the P0507vacuum leak I have been chasing for several weeks now. It wont show up on a smoke test cause who looks there right? Thanks Skip
(a “real mechanic” for directing me to look there I got the replacement booster installed after a tedious process that included labeling each line to remember where it went. After finishing I have a brake pedal that still not level with the other pedals…so not a lot of travel when applying brakes to stop. This was not addressed in Pelican or Bentley tutorials. I now have to either take it all out and position pedal prior or figure out how to adjust “trial and error. I noted how I found the push rod bracket see pic1 but after install my bolts are all the way to the left pic2 which you cant see happening because of the rubber sleeve9which I have cut open to expose nuts. I imagine I can try to adjust this position in the direction of the yellow arrow but there is no more room
. On the schematic of the pedal maybe there is a bolt/nut there I can adjust to move the pedal up. Any ideas other than this anyone.
At breakdown the nut on left was tight against the other bolt…i clockwise moved it left
after screwing the booster back into place this is the remaining position of the nuts…about 6mm of travel left clockwise
im wondering if i can adjust the position by using nut 20 or 21. 21 is listed as an adjustment nut but it next to the clutch pedal. Notice angle between pedal and bracket 90…mine is 70
20 is just called a “nut” but maybe can adjust there
what 21 is
If anyone has any ideas other than address this at reinstall Im headed for a do over
Thanks theprf…I’ll only adjust on the “adjusting nuts” on the yoke. I’ve since discovered the vacuum leak is not resolved therefore either used booster probably defective or another leak emerged. I’ve since found a reasonable new TRW booster for couple hundred as opposed to 640 for OEM. The TRW says Lucas on them same as OEM. Im going to clear all vacuum lines with another v test and check idle and if good start over and pay attention to position of brake pedal. As well get those nuts back in the position I found them at dismantle..hopefully that will
How yoke was found at dismantle …nut on left was over in direction of yellow right against other nut..putting there should reposition BP🤞🏾
restore the BP position …lessons learned
Ive got a good booster sitting on my shelf if needed. I swapped in a different one when I did my manual swap (came with my swap parts). I then realized theyre the same part number.oops
Im going to sound like an a$$ but thats not worth my time. Id be giving it away after the ship costs.
Heres one with a 30 day warranty. Cheers

Well; I was more confident bc you took it off a running car but a penalty for trying to negotiate.wow
. I cant just get for the $100 originally quoted…please see pm?
Update on this repair. I had to replace a ABS PUMP line that got crimped installing booster and leaked. They are only available from Germany …local salvage could not get one off without also damaging it thus the delay and why just getting finished…. A 21 plus day wait but got one. Vacuum leak appears addressed…brake pedal position where it should be as I put the adjustment nuts back in position where i found them. They are no indications of vac leak p0507 have as yet not returned…idling wnl so far. Ther3 are is a stiff brake pedal which is an indication of better performing booster and it’s dramatic. I do have an ABS AND PSM WARNING LIGHT. And a “pressure sensor “ p4480…and reference to a part… number 99635575559. I can’t find this part or a “pressure sensor.” My brake lights are fine. Could it be the clutch pressure sensor from the picture sent back in this post?
