Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I would advise using the cdr220 with a separate ppi or other decent 5 channel amp and change out the speakers to focals and add a small sub in the rear.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am interested in adding a 'pre-owned' DSP Audio package to my CDR 220 w/ Changer. I know its not a great sound enhancer but I can pick it up for $225. The seller has the dash unit and the Amp but not the wiring harness. A few questions - Has anyone completed this addition? Is the DSP package plug and play with the basic CDR220? Safe to assume there is a wiring harness that I need to purchase? Does the DSP amp replace an existing amp (I do not have the 490 Digital Sound option)? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Thanks!

POST 2Original post

the nokia dsp is garbage don't waste your time. The stock additional amp is not much better. I would advise using the cdr220 with a separate ppi or other decent 5 channel amp and change out the speakers to focals and add a small sub in the rear.

POST 3Original post

I agree...the nokia DSP is garbage! much better off swapping out the stock amp and speakers. I swapped mine out for a soundstreme amp and focal seperates.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
