Just before i let go of the car.. The engine hesitates to pick rpm's only the 1st couple of minutes when it's started from dead cold.. Otherwise, rpm's are wonderful from idle all the way to redline. Does bad sparks cause this? Any other suggestions? WAZ

As it seems I am thinking that it would be the fuel filter moreso than the fuel pump. There might be crud in the fuel out there. However if they mix it with costic additives etc., then that might compromise the seals in other components in the fuel system most notably the fuel pressure regulator, which comes to mind. Odd set of circumstances. I think you need to have a few pressure tests done and have the diag. computer hooked up and measure things.
