Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I only know about the Boxster SC and than cannot be used on the track.

Is the TPC supercharger strictly for the street or can be used on the track as well?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone heard what's going on with the TPC supercharger for the 996. I've noticed that their ad no longer states a date that it will be available. Didn't Excelence test one. When does that issue come out?
Is it this kit? <a href="http://www.9mracing.co.uk/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Shop&file=index&req=viewproduct&productid=62 0&category=0&parentid=0" target="_blank">9m 996 supercharger kit</a>
9m fit TPC kits to 964s and 993s, so presumably this is also a TPC kit.
I saw a supercharged 996 at <a href="http://www.bydesignautomotive.com/" target="_blank">By Design</a> last week. Its supposed to generate approx 400 hp. I don't recall the cost. Call Matt at [phone removed].

Here's the price from Sportec: <a href="http://ms2.rennlist.com/attach/Preisliste%20911_996.pdf?sid=n3ep35s8w5ut9o3h&mbox=INBOX&uid=3&number=2& filename=Preisliste%20911_996.pdf" target="_blank">sportec prices</a>
Here's a link to TPC's home page, showing the pricing for their supercharger kit:

The price is $9,795, which doesn't seem bad for 431 HP. Of course, you've either got to do the install yourself, or plan to add $$ for about 15 hours of labor.
Notice that they say there available for May delivery, while elsewhere in their site it says April. (I'd go with May)

Do you think that is ALL the labor that there will be with a supercharger install, testing, etc...15 hrs?
I only know about the Boxster SC and than cannot be used on the track. They told me, only "high performance street driving". I would not see it being any different for the 996 motor.
In the current newsletter from the PCA Goldcoast region there is an ad from Foreign Affairs Motorsports: "Supercharge your Carrera...431 H.P. Only $12,500. Includes installation."
"Do you think that is ALL the labor that there will be with a supercharger install, testing, etc...15 hrs?"
Well, I was just quoting their estimate... who knows what the real number will be. Time will tell, assuming this thing ever gets into production. And Tom B is right, the SC for the 996 has been "just around the corner" since about the time corners were invented! But maybe it will really happen this year, we'll see.
does the supercharger cut the engine life tremendously?
I am thinking of planning for the upgrade, but I would hate to see my engine puffing black smoke in a year or two, or starts taking a ****.
