Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A number of people have complained about noisy wiper blades. I've just switched to Bosch blades on my '02 cab and find them totally quiet and effective.

POST 2Original post

Yup... I posted this TSB a while ago... Wiper Blade Noise - Squeaking and Rubbing 1/03 9227 Vehicle Type: 911 Carrera (996) / 911 Carrera 4 (996) / 911 GT3 (996) Model Year: As of '99 (X) Concerns: Noises from the wiper blades (rubbing, squeaking). Information: It is possible that noises (rubbing, squeaking) may occur during the wiping process with the previous wiper blades. As of the introduction date stated below, the vehicles are equipped with modified wiper blades. Introduction - December 6, 2002, from the following VIN's: 99 43S 62 2009 996 Coupe USA 99 13S 63 5451 996 Targa USA 99 93S 65 2129 996 Cabrio USA Important! While these blades are designed to reduce wiper noise, the build up of dirt, oil and diesel fuel on the windshield will contribute to any wiper blade making a noise. Make sure the windshield washer fluid used is adequate enough to remove these noise contributors. Parts Information: Part Number --- Description 996 628 901 08 New/Set of wiper blades (includes left and right wiper blade, for all vehicles) 996 628 901 05 Previous/Set of wiper blades (includes left and right wiper blade, for left-hand drive vehicles), No longer available after existing supplies are used up.
