Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Will the following fit a 2001 996 C2 18" Kinesis K18's, 8.5x18 w/ 225/40/18, 10x18,225/40/18, w/265/35/18, taken off of a Boxster S?

POST 3Original post

Depends on the offset. It should be somewhere on the wheel. That's a good combo to minimize understeer IMO.

However, I don't think Kinesis stamps the offset value on their wheels. You would either have to measure it or ask someone who might know about the specific wheels. <a href="http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm" target="_blank">Wheel Tech From Tire Rack</a> <img src="http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/tech/offset.gif" alt=" - " />

Thanks Guys. I found out that they, in fact, do not fit. Boxster wheels fit fine in the front on a 996, but the rears have a larger offset on a Boxster, and as a result, will likelt rub on the rear when applied to 996. Kinesis confirmed this info. Sooo...I have since found a set specific Kinesis K18's that fit my 996 perfectly. I will post offset and fitment info when they arrive. Thanks!
