Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was checking the current value of my 2002 Carrera and according to NADA when you plug in a 2002 Carrera w/62,500 vs. a 2004 Carrera w/62,500 and all the options are identical the 2002 comes up with a value $2-3K higher than the 2004. I thought this was a little odd. Any ideas as to why?

POST 2Original post

The only thing I can think of is lower annual mileage, but I wouldn't have thought that it would make more than $1k difference. I've been liking Black Book recently. What do you get when you plug in the numbers here? http://www.cudlautosmart.com/Researc...eInValues.aspx It doesn't let you specify options but they don't seems to make a significant difference in the used car value.

POST 3Original post

Probably not real, you should pull mannheim auction prices to get the true market value

POST 4Original post

What's the average miles per year now days? 12k or 10k miles? Try this: Keep your 2002 Carrera w/62,500 with the same value, but (a) 2004 Carrera w/42,500 considering 10k avg miles per year (b) 2004 Carrera w/38,500 considering 12k avg miles per year
