Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 3Original post

Mike, An 84 GTI was my first car. It took me through 2 years of HS and all through college. I then gave it to my sister and she used it for 6 more years. I'm still a big fan! I have seen a few rabbit GTI's turned into track cars and I wondered why you wouldn't look for a golf style rather than a rabbit style for the track? I figured a 16v early 90's would be about the same price and have more aftermarket parts than an 83-84.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well Kevin-always liked the look of the first gen MK1 rabbit. Though I would love to have an '84 GTI with the better interior('83 ugly red interior) but since I'm going to be a track car-going to strip it. Nice little project : ). Regards. Mike
