So I called Tire Rack back and asked them if I could change the order.

Suggestion
The A0S03's are by far the best auto-x tire I have used BUT they are not streetable and would melt after 1 lap on the track.

What a time trying to get autocross tires. I was going to get the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, but I read some reviews saying they didn't come up to temp quick enough and the first time I called Tire Rack, they said they didn't have the Hoosiers in autox compound and 285/30-18 size. So I mulled it over for a week and finally decided on the Kumho Ecsta V700 (basically this seemed to be my only choice). I wanted them heat-cycled, but not shaved because they need to last me all season.
Saturday night I ordered them online. This morning I get a call from Tire Rack saying that Kumho sent out a bulletin on these tires and that for any running in dry weather they should be shaved to 4/32". I said ok..shave them then, it really looks like I don't have any choice. After I hung up I looked on Hoosier's website and they showed a 285/30-18 in autox compound. So I called Tire Rack back and asked them if I could change the order. They said they were probably already on the truck, but they would try. They called me back and said they got them cancelled and I ordered the Hooisers. This time they didn't say anything about not having this size in stock.
Except for telling me they didn't have the Hoosiers in stock the first time, Tire Rack was helpful. I guess it just depends on who you talk to at customer service. If anybody wants me to send them the name of the guy I dealt with the last time send me a message.

I have run all three of the tires. For auto-x the Sport Cups are probably better than street tires, but not by much. They simply do not get hot at all. The Kuhmo's make a good all around tire. They are street drivable, work well for auto-x and can be tracked. BUT, in doing so they compromise and are not exellent for any. I put the Hoosier A0S03's back on for this year, 245 front and 285 rear, yes it does exist. The A0S03's are by far the best auto-x tire I have used BUT they are not streetable and would melt after 1 lap on the track. Its all about your requirements. I am lucky enough to be able to run 3 sets of wheels so I am in good shape.
