I want to get the same bulbs for the side marker lights (already replaced amber with clear side markers) and I found a pair at <a href="http://www.silverfusion.co.uk/products.html" target="_blank">Silverfusion</a> which are labeled W5W but the owner's manual states the replacement bulb to be WY5W.

To more closely match the bi-xenons on my '02 Carrera, I replaced the fog lights with PIAA H3 Xtreme White (part number PIA15256) <a href="http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/xxxpiah3.html," target="_blank">http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/xxxpiah3.html,</a> and the side marker bulbs with PIAA 168 wedge Xtreme Super White (part number PIA19172) <a href="http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/xxx191series1.html." target="_blank">http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/xxx191series1.html.</a> These sidemarker bulbs (with clear side markers) blend into the overall appearance when lit.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My name is ADJ and a new Porsche owner. I just recently traded in my 2001 BMW 330i for my new 2003 C2 - Seal Gray w/Blk Leather. I live in Indy but ended up having to go to Kentucky for my car because I wanted my Porsche experience to be great and the people in Indy and Cincy weren't willing to give me the experience I wanted. The guys in Kentucky were awesome!
I do have a question - I just recently purchased silvervision bulbs for the front and rear turn signals. Are these the same bulbs?

LED bulbs as front and rear side markers.
Example at:
<a href="http://www.hobbystage.net/porsche/wwest" target="_blank">http://www.hobbystage.net/porsche/wwest</a>
Ocean blue one now has blue front side markers.
Haven't done the turn signals yet, so I can't help you there except to refer you to the operator's manual with tells you how to pull out the headlight assembly. If for some reason you don't have one <a href="http://www.suncoastporsche.com" target="_blank">www.suncoastporsche.com</a> has it on their website.
Congratulations on your new 996 and welcme to the best Porsche Forum in the world!
Wonder if you got your car from Blue Grass? I live in MA and bought from them thru a broker. They are the best!
BTW, I couldn't open your pics 'cause they say you have to be a member to do so.
Love Arctic Silver!
DonW - I did end up at Blue Grass in KY. They were awesome. I took the plunge for $20 and ordered the 'sliverfusion' side marker lights which are similar to the silvervision bulbs, so I will let you know how they work out.
Sorry about the link to the pics and needing to be a member. It's a great site if you are into detailing - been there for several years and learned alot! I will post pics later on this site.
