Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
Rennlist: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
Small but mighty, the Neodymium super magnet in an ECS Tuning magnetic drain plug collects wandering metallic particles and holds them captive until they can be wiped away at the next oil change. Next oil change? Install an ounce of prevention with a drain plug that catches and holds ferrous particles with an iron grip, before they can cause expensive engine damage.
Complete with drain plug sealing ring, the ECS drain plug accepts standard aluminum sealing rings for your convenience.

Same thought here, so since this opportunity popped up I just ordered one for each of my cars. Pretty inexpensive item that could be real beneficial to be able to see if the engine starts to throw metal.
Thanks for the support everyone
As far as the durability, we did extensive testing with this drain plug, and chose to make it out of 7075-T6 aluminum, as it held up much better than the 6061-T6. Quality exceeds the OEM drain plug at the factory torque spec of 37 ft/lbs.
As far as a Magnetic Drain Plug for the transmission, it should use the same plug as the 996TT(22X1.5) uses. We haven't tested fitment on a transmission and the plug would only work on a 6-speed manual only. For more information

Oh man.... Is it possible to edit my order for two plugs then or am I screwed and have to pay for shipping on another? Hah. Didn't even think about putting it on my trans.
Edit: I just emailed sales instead. Thanks!
Glad you got it worked out. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me anytime.
Thank you for the support
Sorry about the shipping costs over the pond, I know it can be a bit expensive. We do have a few different options though.
