, I got the Opel upgrade CD's and installed these (with the 2010-11 maps which works fine), but the roads change all the time in Europe so need something newer.

Will get another GPS anntena and hav this fitted while at it.

So as the Title reads I'm thinking of replacing the aging PCM 1.0 16bit in my 2002 C4S with a newer Kenwood DNX-7230DAB double DIN unit.

So I have read, believing, that it is not that straight forward with the current BOSE speakers and I don't really want to change these or rewire the whole car.

Suggestion
If you order from a company like Crutchfield they will include the correct wire harness adapters to plug into the OEM harnesses and use the original Bose amps.

Sorry if this has been posted earlier but I would want specific answeres to my queries.
So as the Title reads I'm thinking of replacing the aging PCM 1.0 16bit in my 2002 C4S with a newer Kenwood DNX-7230DAB double DIN unit.
So I have read, believing, that it is not that straight forward with the current BOSE speakers and I don't really want to change these or rewire the whole car. I have though seen some kits available, on a well known online auction site, selling sets to convert new standard connections to older PCM connections including facia plates etc.
So,
1) do I buy the Kenwood unit, installation kit and compartment replacement kit (for the current CD nav unit) and take the car to my Porsche garage and that's it, or
2) do I need something else to complete the task, or
3) do I just leave it as it is?
Any pointers?

Btw, how do I see if it's a MOST system or not (not doubting your knowledge that is)?
+1. The MOST system isn't an issue for a 2002 car. The issue that you'll face is that the Bose system is utilizes 2 ohm speakers and amps. As long as you connect the system to the existing amps, you should be fine.
Returning back to this, as I'm about to purchase the different parts for my Porsche garage to do the fitting later this spring...
One last question: Do I need to get a new GPS antenna for a new Kenwood unit (DNX-7230DAB or DNX9230DAB) or can I just use the one already in the car feeding the PCM? I know I need a DAB+ antenna but not sure about the GPS one...

I would be surprised if your OE GPS antenna worked with an aftermarket system. I put a new GPS antenna on my front bumper, hidden under the bumper cover.

You don't need to upgrade anything since you are in Switzerland. You can use the Vauxhall CDs from 2010-2011. I would KILL to get the 996 navigation CDs that recent.
