Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The deviated stitching on my black leather front seats has lost its pop. I am guessing it is due to general dirt, sweat, etc., over the last 21 years. The back seats that never get sat upon still look vivid and really pop. I would appreciate any advice from others who have first-hand experience reviving their deviated stitching without doing further damage. I am asking first before I mistakenly do something that makes the stitching worse or hurts the surrounding leather. Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

I dont have deviated stitchingbut Colourlock Mild Leather Cleaner combined with their cleaning brush works really well.

POST 3Original post

Very mild cleaner and steam works well. Id prefer the steamer because if you dont remove all the product, itll get dirty again.

POST 4Original post

Ive always been told that you shouldnt use steam on leather. Steam can cause discoloration or shrinkage (George Costanza).

Probably needed to be a little more specific. Id probably use a microfiber steam pad or a micro fiber towel under the streamer to not have direct contact with the leather.
