Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I wouldn't mind doing an exhaust like that but I love the room for activities I have without mufflers being installed because it makes working on the car a breeze.
Leading evidence: 'Install because it makes working' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install because it makes working' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. If you want it stupid loud its even easier because you can run a flang from the headers just straight down into the rear.

Suggestion
I was thinking of using a cat bypass pip to "move" the factory cats where the mufflers used to go and then routing the exits of the exhaust towards the center.

Suggestion
I'll be using full mufflers but the non x-pipe bypass.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes there is, some of it is custom work. You can find center exhaust bumpers all over the place.
I think sharkwerks made their gt3 a center exit. I like the way it looks and would do it myself.
Agreed. Their 996 Gt3 is awesome. They put the cup rear bumper on theirs. I just need to find a shop in the tri state area that can do that center exhaust conversion on a mkll 996 c2
Its very easy, any performance shop that knows what they are doing and have a mandrel bender can do the job. If you want it stupid loud its even easier because you can run a flang from the headers just straight down into the rear. If not it will be more tricky because the cats are in the way.
for example. I know yours is a GT3 but im pretty sure they are very similar.
I thought you have muffler bypasses as well? How do you intend to do your set up?
I was thinking of using a cat bypass pip to "move" the factory cats where the mufflers used to go and then routing the exits of the exhaust towards the center. Granted this is probably not until next summer or after because I have a much bigger grocery list to attend to.
^^ Thats beautiful. Is that on a 996?
I am very curious what an aftermarket muffler car with no cats sounds like vs the muffler bypass with stock cats.
I wouldn't mind doing an exhaust like that but I love the room for activities I have without mufflers being installed because it makes working on the car a breeze. Hmm. Multiple routes to the same destination.
Here's one from the motherland with OEM cats and aftermarket mufflers. However I'm not sure if the German cats are any different dimension wise than the US. I know there are a few different part numbers out there regarding cats.
