Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know of any one making a bra for a C4S ? Porsche does not have one.

POST 2Original post

bras are for girls! the damn thinngs are ugly and often scratch the finish. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> afew rock chips are a sign that you are enjoying your car <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> life is too short to sweat the small stuff <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />

POST 4Original post

Couln't agree more with ignacio and Fadz, its killing the car. Porsche's don't wear bras.

POST 5Original post

Look at the clear 3M bras. See the 996 Turbo board for more discussion. Armourfend is one <a href="http://www.armourfendamerica.com" target="_blank">web page</a>. I am doing my car next week.

POST 6Original post

I agree with everyone...Bras are ugly and take away from the look. However, if they are used as dp suggests they obviously protect the car. I'm a 3M vinyl fan myself. I had it done by a pro some months ago and I'm very pleased with the results. I have some pics showing application and the stuff is nearly invisible. IMHO this is the best route as long as you find a very experienced installer. Cost is about $500 installed.

POST 7Original post

I'm with Don...I love my clear bra, and I don't have to wretch when I'm behind a car or semi on a less than perfect road. I think it's a nice comprimise, it's not invisible, but it's also isn't "in your face".

POST 8Original post

dp-- $10k less for a few rock chips? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> where can i buy some of what you're smokin'- must be good stuff! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> i also don't want to scotch tape my porsche! what assurance does any of you have that this product won't damage your paint in the long run? <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" /> none! <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> i prefer to keep my $500 for more useful mods <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> btw-- at 17.9k mi i have one tiny rock chip at the bottom edge of my front hood. imo, much better than a scotch taped porsche. my 2 cents. <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" />

POST 9Original post

Bras suck. Bought one for my '02TT. Fit is terrible and it looks worse. Never used and still in the box. When I get around to it, the bra is going back to the dealer.

POST 10Original post

dp i advise you to forget about resale that unhappy day will come soon enough i believe that the greatest risk is that some dingbat in an suv or a pickup will rear end us when we least expect it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> overall it's not worth worrying about since there's nothing to be done about it anyway. i got my car to enjoy it and i insist on using it in the rain, in the snow and in parking lots! i only insist on never giving it over to a valet! <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" /> peace

POST 11Original post

Mine would need a full-body bra!... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> <img src="http://www.flat-6.net/phpBB/uploads/44277331.jpg" alt=" - " /> You can see it in movement too. Just have a look at the 'snow tires' thread for the links to some videos. Oh, it got cleaned since then, don't worry... Greetings, --Pierre

POST 12Original post

Many years ago,I found that the bra's actually take the Wax, and possibly some of the paint off. I have armourfend on the car now and can hardly see it. Works pretty good too.

POST 13Original post

pierre anyone can have a clean porsche yours looks like its been having fun <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" /> imo,these cars were not made to sit garages <img border="0" alt="[oops]" title="" src="graemlins/oops.gif" /> or wear lingerie <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> your videos are a reminder that turbos are really awd's! vive la niege! <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

POST 14Original post

Hey Ignacio! Anyone can have a clean Porsche?... huh!... So why is it so hard for me to keep it clean? And you're right, my Turbo and I are having a great deal of fun together... Can't wait to make it dirty again!... Greetings, --Pierre

POST 15Original post

I've got one on back order from Performance Products. I plan to use it for track events with speeds under 120 mph. bigger, faster tracks I won't use it because they do rough up the paint at high speeds. It's worth it to me in the time I save cleaning up the nose and mirrors after an event. Won't use it on the street though, don't want you guys dissin' me.
