Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The Random House Dictionary defines a "Good Samaritan" as "a person who gratuitously gives help to someone in distress." Over the past week, By Design has been my Good Samaritan -- they voluntarily came to my assistance in a time of great distress and resolved a problem that they neither caused, nor were responsible for. I was having a significant and enduring problem with a parts vendor, the details of which I will respectfully keep private. By Design (Matt and Mike (the owner) in particular) learned of my plight, generously offered their assistance (much of which was gratuitous), solved the riddle that the parts vendor could not, obtained and installed the appropriate parts from a different vendor, and corrected the problem that was plaguing me -- a problem that By Design did not create in the first place. In the end, they got my car running better than it ever has. Much of their intervention and assistance was gratis, and when they did bill me, their charges were remarkably reasonable (much less that the subject parts vendor). Good service is a rare commodity these days. Even rarer is someone willing to step into the breach and assist with a problem unrelated to them. Thank you By Design for coming to my aid and being my Good Samaritan. Craig

POST 2Original post

Craig, I'm glad to hear of your positive experience with By Design. I'm considering having them do some mods for me on my C4S. On another note, I've been pretty busy lately and haven't made it out to any of the canyon runs. Any coming up soon?
