Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any thoughts to installing side skirts on a Cab?They look pretty nice on a coupe but I have not seen any on a Cab. I know it is a personal preference but wondering if any of you have them and like the new look? Also, Are they pretty easy to install? Thanks, Walt 99 Cab Guards Red

POST 2Original post

Boo Hoo...side skirts look great on a Cab! DID I CONVINCE YOU TO SPEND YOUR MONEY??

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Don, Thanks for the photos, but, I am talking about the addition of just side skirts on an otherwise stock 996 Cab. Your car looks awesume, but I can't help but also see the new tail and nose. Not ready to invest the extra $$$ for the other additions you have just yet. So the question is: to side skirt of not to side skirt? Walt

POST 4Original post

here are some pictures - 2000 cab factory installed though......you may want to be careful about quality of labor as I've read some horror stories on other sites. Gives the car a lowered look. http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/996blue1.jpg blue

POST 5Original post

Boo Hoo...here's a couple of pics before the change in nose. Granted the tail is there, but you get a better idea.

POST 6Original post

Don, quite some nice landscaping you have on your property. I haven't seen that much green grass in a while. Regarding the side skirts, I'd go with them on an otherwise stock car. They look great, add a little flavor to the profile of the car and give it a slightly lowered look that coupled with the european suspension modifications makes the car look awesome. later, amir

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the info guys! Walt

POST 8Original post

Walt, I have the side skirts installed on a stock Artic silver 01 996 cab and they look great. They should be std. equip. in my opinion...

POST 9Original post

[quote] I know it is a personal preference but wondering if any of you have them and like the new look?

Now really....did you think anyone who has gone to that time & expence was going to to say......."nah, didn't really like the way it turned out, guess I may have made a mistake, ah shucks". Anyway, you said it best, "it's a personal preference"....so, if it pulls your chain, you should do it.....don't listen to anyone, including me.....cause personally I don't think they really belong on a Cab (not a 996 cab)........and maybe I'd warm up to them more if they blended a bit better with the body line (ie Turbo rocker)...and didn't look so much as an add-on......but don't listen to me

POST 10Original post

Maybe don't listen to me either. I was going back and forth. I think it takes away the clean lines of the 996. But then again, I don't care to much for the aerokit. I do like the side skirt on the turbo. It blends more. Just my opinion.
