Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 3Original post

I haven't done it yet, but I've done a little research. Here's how I understand it; I'd appreciate if someone would correct me if I'm wrong. You don't need to drill or weld if you use the Brey Krause harness mount bar for Porsche 996. If you go to their website, don't be fooled by the beautiful water-jet machined R-1025 harness mount 'for all 911'. Apparently, 996's aren't 911's :/ We need the R-1030. <a href="http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r1030.php" target="_blank">http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r1030.php</a> If you want to keep your stock seat you will need a six-point harness. Five-point harness should have the sub belt routed through a hole in the seat NOT going over the front of the seat. There is bolt on hardware available that goes under the front two mounting points of the stock seats to attach the two sub belts of a six-point system. To quote the install instructions for the hardware Brey-Krause sells for the sub belt (R-9030): "ANTI-SUBMARINE STRAP MOUNT (FOR AFTERMARKET SEATS)" It is not for stock seats. Here's a good site that shows an installation for a 993: <a href="http://www.pcarracing.homestead.com/harness.html" target="_blank">http://www.pcarracing.homestead.com/harness.html</a>
