Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

GrantG: I don't have the exact figuers for the amount of downforce you increase by adjusting the rear wing of the GT3, but small changes in attack angle will yield large amounts of downforce at highspeeds so I'm sure you can adjust it to produce significant more downforce.

Suggestion

Just the 8mm higher raising of the rearwing of the C4S vs TT made a big difference altering the aerodinamics to customise it the car according to Porsche.I'm not sure tilting the rear wing is legal for street use though, at least no here in Europe.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think the speed sensory lifting back wing is one of the most innovative apparel that comes with a 996.. It's been my preffered slow traffic 'show off' tool! But seriously guys, is it as effective as much as it looks cool? Are there figures around this issue to show that, indeed, this kit works? Wael 996 C2 99

POST 2Original post

Regular 996 Carrera (without Aerokit) at 157mph: WING DOWN: Front lift= 64Kg. Rear lift= 136Kg. WING UP: Front lift= 5Kg. Rear lift= 14Kg.

POST 3Original post

Carlos, Do you have figures for the Aerokit equipped car? Thanks. -KJ

POST 4Original post

I wonder if the new GT3, with its adjustable rear wing, can be set to produce significant downforce?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Very interesting really.. I never thought it would have such an effect.. Gracia Carlos, Waz

POST 6Original post

KJinDC: Don't have the exact figures for the aerokit but I've read in Sports Car Magazine a while back, that the GT3 aerokit was tunned by Porsche to produce 0 or no lift. Not so in the GT2's aerokit which was tunned to produce even more downforce (beyond 0 lift). GrantG: I don't have the exact figuers for the amount of downforce you increase by adjusting the rear wing of the GT3, but small changes in attack angle will yield large amounts of downforce at highspeeds so I'm sure you can adjust it to produce significant more downforce. Look at the attack angle of the rear wing of the GT3's in the races, no much tilt needed. Just the 8mm higher raising of the rearwing of the C4S vs TT made a big difference altering the aerodinamics to customise it the car according to Porsche.I'm not sure tilting the rear wing is legal for street use though, at least no here in Europe. The new GT3's rear wing is even a bit bigger that previous.
