Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In reading my owners manual I see that a radio code is needed if the battery ever goes dead. Bought the car used from the west coast, I am in PA. Previous owner does not have the code. Is there anyway I can get it from PNA or anywhere? Thank you, Bill

POST 2Original post

You will need your VIN, proof of ownership and proper ID to get it from your dealer or Becker North America.

POST 3Original post

Like Loren says, any dealer can get you the code. Becker charges $30 and you need the serial number for the radio. Also, if the dealer hooks your car up to the PST2 they can get the code if it is stored on the DME. Some cars have the code in the DME and some do not. My car did not so when I was hooked up to the PST2 I had them enter the code and now anyone with a PST2 can get the code from my DME. Jeff

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
