Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, had to drive out to a customer yesterday and parked in the rain (and hail...sadly this was in the bay area, california) and found out that my soft-top leaks at the upper left corner above the driver seat badly. wondering if anyone else has had this problem and can suggest what might be wrong before I visit the dealer (found out that dealers hate convertibles for all the associated problems that they usually can't fix easily). till now, I've put on the hardtop before winter, but I'm late this year and glad I'v found the problem before the warranty expires. thanks much in advance

POST 2Original post

I don't know what the problem is but the Dealer should fix it. I drove my 00 Cab as a daily driver and never had a leak anywhere. I'm sure it's just a seal or allignment. Good luck. Roy

POST 3Original post

First try backing the cab top off the windshield top and clean both surfaces. Wax the painted surface and clean the rubber seal. See if that helps.

POST 4Original post

I had a '99 cab and now have an '02 cab and I never had any problems with leaks. You might try opening and re-closing while pulling on the center locking cover to make sure the top is fully closed. This is what the manual recommeds if the top doesn't fully close on its own.
