Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The first bra I saw on a Porsche was a picture in a 1972 Porsche USA sales brochure, which showed bras being fitted on 911s for the famous "end of the production line" test drive of each car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I was recently talking to a relative of mine who used to work for the Porsche distributorship in Reno, NV. She was telling me that she would see Porsches driven in Germany that were sometimes not as detailed as the ones in the U.S. Detailed meaning, some would not have the inside of the door jams painted, others would be ugly colors, some would just have shoddy paint jobs, Etc. I found this kind of interesting and inquired as to the reasons for this. She said that German people are more about driving the cars than the looks of the cars and cosmetic details are not as important to them. I just thought that was kind of interesting. Anyone ever hear of anything like this? Any Germans on the board who would like to comment?

One word summarizes it all: "bra"!...
Never seen a car in Europe with that horrible thing you Americans seem to love putting on your cars...
We probably care less if our cars' paint isn't perfect. But at least they look like they were meant to!
Now, I doubt that Porsche delivers lower quality cars to european customers...
Greetings,
--Pierre
My guess is that Andrew's relative probably saw one of the stripped down as in lightened models. Only a few of these ever made it to North America. Talking about the CS's, RS's, RSR's, etc. The ones that come with almost no interior, no radio and often hand crank window winders.
To me these are beautiful cars! To my mother they would just look "basic".
Totally agree about bras. What joke!!

I live in Germany near Nuerburgring and from what I've seen here Porsche owners take pride in their cars. There hasn't been a Porsche I've seen that would qualify to what your friend states about German cars. Germans though do love to drive and drive they will. And yes its true you won't see a bra on any car here of any make unless of course it's a U.S. owned car.
I'm from England and travel alot around Europe and have never noticed any lemon paint jobs. But, in Switzerland I have seen Porsche police cars - how cool is that. And as for Germany, where they're build - on certain roads, can can drive you can to its potential !! How cool is that !! I have recently purchased my first Porsche and when I saw " bra for sale " on a Porsche website, I thought it was the wrong sort of site - Never seen a bra on any car in Europe !! It'll never catch on over here.
Porsche police cars in Switzerland?... naaah, I'm pretty sure we don't have that. But there are (were?) some in Germany. They even have (had?) a few 993 Turbo!...
Greetings,

The first bra I saw on a Porsche was a picture in a 1972 Porsche USA sales brochure, which showed bras being fitted on 911s for the famous "end of the production line" test drive of each car. Okay, so I go back a few years.
I assumed the bra got its start from the Porsche factory.
Does the factory no longer use these bras during the test drive?

They used to drive Targa's in The Netherlands for years and years, but not any more. Was the only time one could appreciate seing traffic police.
Never saw a bra on a Porsche over here in Europe (hardly ever on French beaches either), but guess that's cause you guys in the States are so prude...

Well, as a European (UK) I have never seen a car of any make in this condition. Maybe it is just Germany?
WITH A B OR WITHOUT A B? THIS IS NOT THE Q?
IT'S AN ADORABLE CAR - IT IS A P FOR PORSCHE
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
I do have a friend with an XKR with a bra (the car not the friend). But I don't admit to knowing him when its on.
As for European's putting up with lower quality finish, I doubt whether this is the case. We certainly dont pay for less.
Hi Pierre,
" Porsche police cars in Switzerland?... naaah," Sorry yes, fully marked up. Unfortunately the car was moving else a photo would have been interesting. I should add it was around 10-12 years ago !! I didn't mention that.
