I visually checked all the vacuum hoses visible to me using a bore scope and tested that my SAI is functioning via the Foxwell, then cleared the codes.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I started getting the P0410 and P1411 codes yesterday on the Foxwell scan tool (interestingly enough, no CEL and no codes popped up on the Blue Driver) . I visually checked all the vacuum hoses visible to me using a bore scope and tested that my SAI is functioning via the Foxwell, then cleared the codes. Since my 2000 C2 no longer needs emissions testing in Georgia, and instead of tracking down the issue, I'm thinking of trying this ECU Doctor ROW software mod: https://www.ecudoctors.com/collectio...-air-injection I sent them a message asking if the mod still requires the removal of the SAI bits. Are there options that can disable the SAI and not generate the CEL without removing the SAI? I wanted to keep the SAI in case I eventually end up selling the car to someone that still needs it to pass emissions. Thanks y'all!

POST 2Original post

I have their row tune and the sai is still installed, bo codes. I am however going to remove the them soon.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks n559br. Was the re-install of the ECU and Immobilizer pretty straight forward?

POST 4Original post

Yes very easy. Pull the carpet from over the ecu, some 10mm nuts holding the covers, flip all the connector gates, 4 10mm bolts holding the ecu the immobilizer, is just a single blade 1/4turn fastener on the front and tilt out. That connector is a little bit of a pain just because of the cover. Install is just reverse. Less than a half hour for both processes. The guys there are great to work with, but be prepared as they found an issue with my ecu needing to have the capacitors replaced. It was an extra $300 but worth it. I couldn't believe it was the same unit, it looked brand new.

One last follow up question. Did you disengage the battery prior to removing and reinstalling the ECU and Immobilizer? I'm guessing you have to but just one some confirmation. Thanks again.

POST 6Original post

Yes, always disconnect the battery when working on car electronics.

POST 7Original post

I'll also add, disconnect the battery while the driver door is open. That way you can close it while the windows is dropped and it won't hit the glass.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 20082672

Thanks again. While in my garage, I keep all windows down and doors unlocked while working on the car just to be safe. I'm going to contact ECU Doc this coming week to see how much a combo Stage 1 and ROW reprogram will be.

POST 9Original post

Mine cost about $1300 after the repair of the ecu and same row and Stage 1.
