Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

After 5 days the car goes into a power saving mode. It is documented in the manual. You need to use your key to manually open the door. Read the thread on this forum titled, "IS IT NORMAL?"

POST 3Original post

The purpose of the red thing with the copper blades is to unlock the lids with a donor battery when the battery is dead, not to charge the battery. There are instructions behind the plastic cover over the fuse box. One of our Boxster guys used a 9 volt radio battery to unlock the front trunk. Good luck. Jeff

POST 4Original post

I've got one from Harley for the Harley, and one from BMW that I use on the P-car. They are battery trickle chargers with the new chip that prevents an over, or continuous charge. I plug it into the cigar lighter(my smoke of choice)and have had zero problems with long term "parking". Consider. They are easy and effective.

POST 5Original post

The springs will be nice, though I don't think that has anything to do with your elecrical problem.
