Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, Mrs. Cooper took delivery of her new C4S yesterday evening in Costa Mesa; Arctic Silver, full leather, supple leather in grey, etc. etc.
The neatest thing on the car is the "Sports Exhaust". This is a switchable exhaust system that goes from "Sport" setting to "Standard". The Sports setting I think is great!
. It has a nice "ripping" sound and has NO RESONANCE! No horsepower claims are made but it is waaaay cooool. The car also has the twin exhaust tips.
A question; her car has the Porsche phone module mounted on the front right console. The glove compartment lid rubs on this module going up and down. I can see it wearing off the carpeting on the side of the module over time. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it normal?
Another question, is there anything to watch out for on the car? Does it burn a bunch of oil in the break-in phase?
Watch out guys she's out there terrorizing the 405 Freeway as we chat!
Tell her congrats. Will we see it at the club breakfast in January?
Hope she's not driving through the 55 South to 405 sweeper, aaahhh parking lot
. If so, I'll get out of my car and come over so we can chat for a few hours while CalTrans finishes the overpass. 45 Min's to go 1 mile last week.
Our 02 Cab has not burned oil like the 993.

Garey,
I have 13,000 kilometers on my 02 C4S. I have changed the oil once at 9,500km. In between I have put in 2 litres of oil. No problems at all. I have the sports exhaust too, switched on loud all the time. I especially lile it when you fire it up first thing and it sounds a little flatulant then "clears its throat" and barks out real loud.
Mine is Arctic Silver, heated black sports seats, advanced technic package, rain sensor/dimming mirrors. Pirellis came stock but I will probably change to S03's. It is lowered with H&R springs. Huge improvement over my 99 C2 which I traded in on the C4S.
My dealer, MCL Motorcars in Vancouver were excellent. The head tech, John Broek (phonetic spelling) is very knowledgable and extremely helpful having a racing background both as driver and mechanic. I absolutely love the car. My wife and I drove from Whistler where we live down to Reno, all the way round Lake Tahoe, across to the Bay, up Napa Valley, down Sonoma Valley and back up Hwy 1 through Mendocino etc. It ran flawlessly and I'v never had so many admiring looks. (The car, not me)
Tom, yes I hope to have her and the car at the January Breakfast Club. We may bring both cars!
Cooper996, glad to see there is another "Cooper" out there in Porsche land. And Vancouver wouldn't be a bad place at all for a Porsche ride, a little rain now and then of course, but great roads as I recall on my trips there! Thanks for the advice and comments......
Doug, she got the light grey supple leather interior. A very nice option and very comfortable seating.
I am really impressed by the Sport Exhaust. The start up is really neat. And in the car it doesn't drone or resonate like other after market exhausts I've experienced. I have to say that Porsche got this one really, really "Au Point".
P.S. also impressed by the Tip, which is perfect for her. It has a nice crispness off the line and it doesn't feel like you've just put your foot into a bucket of oatmeal like so many automatics do........All in all the C4S is very impressive.

Congratsh, good choice.
AFQ(1) If the phone module mounted by the
dealer, then there shouldn't be a
problem, coz the phone module in my car
is like 2 inches away from the the
glove compartment lid.
It is not normal!!!
AFQ(2) Mine done 7,500 km, added 1 lit. if you
don't have this option i.e oil burning
means you are not driving the car like
you should.
It is normal!!!
Congratsh, Regards, and Good luck!
