Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just picked up an 01 996TT yesterday and the knucklehead dealer took the the changer cartridge. Does anyone know what common brand changer cartridge will work?

POST 2Original post

If it's a Becker CDC-3 then you can get it through Becker-USA or you can order a new one from any Porsche dealer. Part# is 993.645.113.00

POST 3Original post

You can use a Sony XA-T6 cartridge - an exact match. If you cannot find it locally you can get it from Crutchfield for $30. Jeff

I am lucky to have gotten the car! If I never talk to these guys again I will be just fine. They tried to sell the car out from under me even though I had a signed PO and gave them my AX for the deposit. They signed it and faxed it back. When I called Tues to see if someone could pick me up from the airport they said not to come it may be sold. Wasn't until I threatned with an attorney that they sold it. They also took my GPS disc. I am trying to order one now. I am PPE and don't even get a break from Porsche on that.
