I was trying to use the carfax web page for checking a vin# (WPOZZZ96ZNS451086) of a 964/92 Porsche which I am planning to buy but is giving me error vin# all the time, even I tried my new Porsche vin# which I purschased from the Porsche dealer in my place but the same results.

Hi, I used Carfax extensively when buying my used 996 about two months ago. All of the records on my resport were either from Porche NA, or from U.S. motor vehicle administrations (the ones that give you plates and title and register the vehicle etc.) I am not sure if Carfax tracks vehicles not meant for the U.S. market. Hopefully someone on this board will have a more definitive answer. Ashraf <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
