Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do I need the adapter to remove the locking nuts?

POST 2Original post

First, make sure you do have locking lug nuts. Some cars were apparently delivered without them. If you do have locking lug nuts, then you MUST have the key or, as you call it, the adapter. I found mine in a zip-lock bag inside the jack bag. Call your dealer ASAP. No way, no how can you get those wheels off if you have locking lug nuts and no key without ruining things.

POST 3Original post

on my 02 Cab the key was in the tool kit at the botton of one of the pockets.

POST 4Original post

My lock key was in the front velcro pocket of the spare cover. It was not in the tool kit. Dan

You Turbo guys always have to be different, don't you! <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />

POST 6Original post

Don, Did you get the V1 hardwired? You can install it the same way that I installed mine, there is room in the top of the windshield to stuff the wire. I checked a Cab to make sure. How about the TrafficPro? It's great, I love it. Regards, Dan

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's it look like? Anybody got a pic?

POST 8Original post

I haven't gotten to either yet, Dan. Cindy won't let me take the V1 she uses, so I have to buy another one Going to kill 2 birds with one stone when it comes in. Did you hook up the remote in the tray or on the wheel or are you just using the unit in the windshield?

POST 9Original post

I lost the key on my old car...did not take too much effort to get the lug nuts off and w/o any damage. I obviously would not recommend this, but it can be done in an emergency.

POST 10Original post

Your local dealer has a kit with all of the potential locks. Believe it or not, there are only about 25 different configurations. Anyway, take your car down there, they will fit the right one and order it for you from PCNA. Mine took about 3 days.

Check it out in the gloves compartment, I found it there in a plastic pack. fadz C4S/02
