Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You might also try a little bit of WD-40 on a clean rag...it will smug the glass but you can wipe it off...it will remove most any oil based junk on your car..it will stain so be care with it but it won't hurt glass or paint if used in small amounts....

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Heading out to the golf course early this AM when an Audi S4 pulls next to me at a stop light. So we decide to go, as there is no one on this stretch of road. As I am pulling away I notice that the Audi does have a super nice exhaust note. Really very nice. Pretty quick for a sedan, too. Question 1) I got some window sauce from my plastic window on my cab top. Can't seem to get it off. Any thoughts? Question 2) The guy deatailing my car broke a small piece off of the "C" in Carrera! How much should it cost to order a new one and have it installed? Observation 2) After 2 years, the radar lens in my K40 has gone bad (!). The shop that repairs this stuff wants $450 for a new lens, nearly half the price of the entire unit. I have asked that they send the part back to K40. Not a very dependable product, me thinks... Happy Sunday...

POST 2Original post

The Carrera emblem on the back of my 993 cost $10-12 dollars at the local dealership. It just slaps on w. the adhesive pad already affixed to its back. Old one comes off w. dental floss. Go to www.valentine1.com and buy a new Valentine for $399. Not stealthy, it's stuck up on your windshield, but better than a K40, and cheaper, too.

POST 3Original post

Everything he said was true.... They break the script on the back of those cars all the time...So they keep them in stock, And the V1 is one of the best (If not the best). They sell this stuff in the store around here called "Goo Be Gone" works very well. Might help with your window goo problem... You might also try a little bit of WD-40 on a clean rag...it will smug the glass but you can wipe it off...it will remove most any oil based junk on your car..it will stain so be care with it but it won't hurt glass or paint if used in small amounts.... Good Luck
