Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

Go get the TechArt one, it is simply the best. Spring for a little extra and I think they have one with the carbon also. It is much fatter and more comfortable than the stock three spoke.

POST 3Original post

Anybody have any pictures of the techart wheel? Currently undecided on whether to go with the factory or techart 3 spoke.

POST 5Original post

I have the TechArt Catalog..I can scan whatever you like. In case you want to stick with factory stuff, I've got the factory carbon fiber wheel. The grip is much thicker than stock. Mine is in Met Blue leather.

POST 6Original post

The other cool thing about the TechArt wheel is that you can use the factory center piece, horn assembly and airbag. They can build you anything you want, my wheel is two-color leather with deviated stitching (the second color is at the top of the wheel).

You retain your air bag or you can have it customized as well, similar to what Porsche does with its Exclusive Options program. TechArt leather colors are an exact match for any of the factory offered leather colors. Here's an example of a TA wheel in my car...

POST 8Original post

Jack What size is the wheel - Is it the 340mm techart wheel? Mark

POST 9Original post

Mark: It's the factory wheel redone by TechArt --same overall diameter as stock, just thicker. Sorry, I'm not aware of the exact measurement.

POST 10Original post

I just had the 340mm Techart steering-wheel installed in my 996 Turbo. One word: excellent! Will try to post some pics.

POST 11Original post

That factory airbag cover will not fit the Techart 340mm, only the stock diameter ones. 365mm? They certainly are great looking wheels. There are a lot of Gemballa wheels on eBay, too.
