Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Checking fuses to see if they work (I didn't try the multimeter on the fuses, but when I took them out, the passenger window stopped working and then it worked when I put the fuses back, so I assume they are fine.
Leading evidence: 'Check gazillion forums and haven't gotten' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'former' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fuses' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

It would have dropped either automatically (remembering me trying to do the one click open during battery death), or I put it down on my test drive, but I think it was the former.

I think I tried to put the window down when the battery was just about dead, and pressing it was the last straw.

Checking the switch itself by using it on the passenger window that does work

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Need some help.
I put in some new coilovers a week ago on my 2001 996 C4 Coupe 6speed and in the process let my battery die. Ever since it died, the driver's window doesn't come up and is stuck all the way down. When I try to put it up with the switch, I can hear the clicks in the door, but no movement, whirring, anything. The window worked perfectly prior to the battery dying, including the window drop at door open. I think I tried to put the window down when the battery was just about dead, and pressing it was the last straw. When I jumped the battery, I think the driver's window was part way down if that's of any consequence. It would have dropped either automatically (remembering me trying to do the one click open during battery death), or I put it down on my test drive, but I think it was the former.
I've tried a number of tricks to get it to go including the following, however none have worked:
Undoing battery negative terminal then trying the window reset/retrain (hold down for 10 seconds, and up for 10 seconds)
Undoing battery and unplugging the Comfort Control Module under the driver's seat (there was one plug I couldn't get undone)
Checking the switch itself by using it on the passenger window that does work
Closing the door firmly while pressing up on the switch to jolt the window motor
Hitting the door near the motor while pressing up on the switch to jolt the window motor
Checking fuses to see if they work (I didn't try the multimeter on the fuses, but when I took them out, the passenger window stopped working and then it worked when I put the fuses back, so I assume they are fine. Visual inspection doesn't show any issues)
Pulling the door panel off to check the window motor - The regulator looked fine (not stretched out), however I couldn't really access the motor because with the window down, I can't get the speaker out of the door, meaning I can't get to the motor itself
I've checked a gazillion forums and haven't gotten to an answer. Anyone here have any bright ideas for me to try?
