Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have developed a few small paint chips on the passenger side door and the front bumper of my car. I drive my car around town so a few chips are to be expected. My question is what is the best technique to touch up the chipped spot on my paint. I am not interested in a full re-paint just want to make the chips a little less obvious. I am just curious as to what has worked for you guys and what has failed so I don't make the same mistake. I looked at some previous posts but no one seems to explain exactly how best to use the touch-up paint. Is it best to get the paint from my dealer or are there other sources? Thanks for the help! -Andrew

Thanks Roygarth, Sounds like the more time you take on the chips the nicer they will turn out! I am just wondering if Porsches paint differs from ordinary paint and if I really want to risk sanding or just fill in the chips? I do not want to make it worse than it is already.
