I'm looking at picking up some used sport seats with heat on them to replace my factory supple leather with memory seats but i like the fact that it has memory and has power all the way around.

Has anyone ever taken the seats apart? I just want to remove the rails of the sport seats and transfer the sport seats over to the fully electric rails. Any help would be greats. Thanks.

I think it's going to be more complicated than that. I have removed my heated sport seats, but not looked at the full power/memory seats. I think you're going to have to rebuild the harnesses.

I have converted my standard seats to sport seats and retained all the memory functions. The seat track assembly must be switched along with the seat back recliner motor. The memory function has 3 wires instead of 2. not hard if you take your time & lay everything out. Keep the other seat unthouched to look at when assembling

I tried this in my 986 boxster. Harnesses were completely different. It required wiring diagrams and meticulous attention to detail. So I quit and went for a drive instead. Good luck and keep us posted.
