However, remember if your going to get rimes like these, go ahead and get the larger sizes so you can run the larger tires.

You can still use the stock size tires for street if you like too...to save a few bucks.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
I have a friend who is very afraid of technology so I'm posting this for him. I'm looking for pictures of 996s with aftermarket wheels. Specifically, I'd like to see any that have Fikse's, but others would be great as well. I figure there must be many of you with great pics of your car that you wouldn't mind posting. :-)
I've searched the archives and can't find another string on this subject so might be a great one to have as others have this inquiry. Thanks in advance,
steve

Steve,
Most of the common wheels for 996 (and other Porsches) can be found at <a href="http://www.wheelenhancement.com/Style.htm" target="_blank">Wheel Enhancement</a>.
Just follow the link.
Thanks Loren. That's a great site to get an idea of all the individual wheels out there. Some cool ones I hadn't seen before! :-)
What I'm really looking for is pictures of different wheels ON 996s as opposed to just the wheels themselves. Thanks,
steve
Steve,
I've posted these before so sorry to bore those who've seen them, but since you haven't.....
These are Kinesis K28's, a 3-piece forged wheel. The rims are polished alloy (not clearcoated) and the centers are a matte finish pewter color (although they are available in custom colors or polished). They are light......about 20.5 pounds for the 8x18 fronts and 22.5 for the 10x18 rears.
Really nice Mike,
Would be great the red calippers with your wheels... <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
There was a tread about the wheels since a moment ago. I don't know how to post the url from the archives of Rennlist...
I also have the Kenesis Wheels...K20 if I remember right...
I'll see if I have a good pic..
However, remember if your going to get rimes like these, go ahead and get the larger sizes so you can run the larger tires.
Get the 8.5 in the fronts and 10 in rear.so you can run the 245-30x18 and 285-30x18. Much better set up if you do any track stuff. Almost removes all the factory understeer, with just the tire changes. You can still use the stock size tires for street if you like too...to save a few bucks.
But this way you have better options!!!!

Willwest: those wheels are '17 (?)..You don't want to upgrade to '18 ...? You'll have a better looking car! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
Willwest, No the pics aren't reversed, the actual lowering is quite subtle on the order of 12mm F and 0-5 R if you actually measure the car. My car with std suspension seemed to sit slightly lower than most US spec cars, probably represents one end of the standard deviation.
