This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have any experience of the following 'Tequipment' upgrade offered by Porsche? What sort of bhp/torque increase can I expect? It's for my '99 996 C4 tiptronic. Carrera Powerkit (For 911 Carrera up to 12/00 only) Boosts power output from 221 kW to 235 kW using a modified alloy induction system, modified cylinder heads and modified exhaust manifolds. The package also includes an additional oil pump in each cylinder head. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Don't know about '99's + but, for my '02 C2, the $12K range(last I heard) for 20-23 HP boost is more than HALF of what I just paid for beautiful/solid '91 C2 w/ just under 70K on it(I'ts just starting to become my full(almost) time DE/auto-x baby). And if... for some reason kiss the Armco.... I'd have ordered the X51? option w/ the '02 ..if I'd known about it then(Nov-01) Tough decsion..like my local P-car track prep boys/girls say.. Once U start smoking the race/hp pipe... Good luck let us know! <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" />

POST 3Original post

Don't know what the tequipment powerkit will provide in terms of hp gain but I can tell you that the Fabspeed headers, exhaust, and unichip gained me 28hp at the wheel for under $4k.

POST 4Original post

If/when TPC(Turbo Performance Center)get the 996 supercharger ready for sale you may look into that(claimed 394 hp) but if you prefer oem powerkit is a way to go but kinda expensive for amount of hp gain but to each their own. Regards and good luck. Mike
