Hey all, I just purchased a 1999 Carrera 2 and I am awaiting the owners manual to arrive at my house. However, there is a 4 disc cd changer in the dash underneath of my stock stereo. I can not, for the life of me, figure out how to change from FM radio to the cd changer. I know it is a stupid question, but appreciate any help listening to CD's.

That is not a changer it is cd storage. You probably only have an in-dash cd player without a changer. If you do have a changer it would be located in the trunk.

Well darn- I have the cassette storage which I never use-want to swap : ). Since the cd changer only holds 6 cd's maybe you want more just in case you want to change them but yeah be nice to have a cd vs tape deck on the main unit. Regards. Mike

The dealer who sold you the car did a swap. When I was shopping for my 1st 996 -"99". I saw a lot of them that way. The one I bought actually had a cassete holder but an in dash CD player. I had the stupid thing removed before picking up the car.
