Albert, I had my wheels reconditioned by Alloy Wheel Repair. They're a mobile company so will come out to your house or work, their vans have generators for electricity, compressors for their spray guns, and a spray booth in the back. They removed scratched and gouges in my wheels (Fedex shipping damage), repainted the centers and then sprayed clearcoat over them. Cost was $160 per wheel. Since they're a franchise there may be one in RI.

Another option is powder coating. A fellow PCA'er had all of his wheels powder coated for $100/ea. Of course you would have to do all 4 and you would have to pay for unmounting and remounting, but probably not much more than buying another wheel thats in excellent condition.
