Thanks for that link, the wife still doesn't think a car seat will fit and I'm just using the excuse to take up more space in the garage.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm in the market for a 911 and am actually open to a wide range of years encompassing the 993-996's. I do have another brand of exotic car (no other info will be listed here as I am not a paid member currently).
My question is I'd like to see what interest there might be in a trade. There doesn't seem to be a good way to list in the classifieds and I'm trying to reach folks in both the 993 section and the 996 section.
A new addition to the family creates the need for a small back seat for babies car seat. Needles to say my current car hasn't come out of the garage since the baby was born 9 months ago. If anyone could suggest a politicly correct method for getting the word out on my car and what I'm looking for please let me know.
PS If thereis a way to search the classifieds by state region or location please let me know as I havn't figured one out yet.
Thanks,
Ben
Well, I'll offer some technical advice... the rear seats of a 911 are not large enough for a rear facing car seat, IMHO. But they're great for toddlers in booster seats and for elementary school age kids. My 6 and 3 year-old love riding with me in the 911. They say it's like flying and are always requesting that I use "speedy brakes" (rapid deceleration) and pull lateral Gs in culdesacs (sp?).
Well before they nuke this thread.. anyone have any suggestions for my original question? I don't have a problem pony'ing up and being a paying member, but I don't think that type of post with all the specifics added in would be OK even then? Or maybe I'm just $17 bucks away from being able to do just that??
I hope those flowers grow in my area! They must smell real sweet......
Welcome notbostrom; What's the trade in value on your 2-seater? I'd say, definitely trade to a later model 996 Cab, maybe even 997. plenty of room and access in the back seats.
Not sure what dealer trade value would be but most dealers love to tell you your Pcar, Ferr, Lambo etc is worth 1/2 of fair market value. Don't think I would give a dealer the pleasure of taking it on trade. Either way I'd be losing on both sides trading mine in for wholesale and buying theirs at full retail. I'd rather find a private owner looking for a new toy to try and we both get fair value.
there are lots of F-car fans here, some have both.... no matter what the purist says.... there are plenty of sunday cruisers here.... I for one love the 355, very comparable in performance with the the 996. Pony up the $17 bucks and stick around, you're gonna be a p-car user anyway.. its just a matter of time.
Tried to be as vague as I could about what my car was so I wasn't breaking any rules but I forgot about the avatar... DOH.. been a while since I was on..
+1. Stick around here and learn the models before you make a decision. I believe P-cars are more reliable, easier to find competent Indies to work on compare to F cars with relatively cheaper parts. On the other hand, they are less exotic but the car can be driven daily without issues.
Thanks for that link, the wife still doesn't think a car seat will fit and I'm just using the excuse to take up more space in the garage. Those pics will help a bunch
