Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would like to purchase a Porsche Sport Exhaust set up for my '99 996 C2 manual. What instalation issues [ by a professional] should I be prepared for. For example: Will the bypass switch work? I am told that Porsche does not make a switch for use on '99 cars but you can use another switch and mount it behind the steering wheel. Also, if anyone has had it done how much did you pay to have it installed as I can buy the kit from Gert. Thanks in advance for any help. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

POST 2Original post

I installed it without any switches and without the vacuum and electronics... open all the time. Sounds Great! Took about an hour in my gargage.
