This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
The House/Porsche ratio of 16.7x is probably the lowest I have every seen.
Leading evidence: 'lowest i have every seen' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'lowest i have every seen' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

MB, BMW, and Boxters are everywhere, but I seldom see a 911.
I live in a reasonably affluent area and there is only one nearby for sure. It is a nice silver one with and aftermarket spoiler.
How often do you actually see one on the road besides your own?
!Every day, this last times really a lot because is very hot here and nice weather. So most of them are cabs, or C2...But of course not as much as in SoCal.

Seen maybe 1 or 2 996s on the road here in 3 years....no kidding. See more in the shop
LOL
There are 993's and even a 993 Turbo I see around town. Not even many Boxsters. But then again....the nearest Porsche dealer is 3 hours east in Houston, so my dealer covers the whole of Southcentral Texas. Folks who buy them must disperse to the 4 corners
My dealer still has a new 996TT and 2 996TTs with only 2K miles for sale, and a new Targa sat on the lot for 3 months before selling. Maybe a soft market here.....now, if you ask about Dodge Rams!
Several daily both to and from work thru Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar and Newport Beach, CA. Turbos, C2's, C4's, Boxsters, you name it and this affluent area has them along PCH. Even an occasional 356 - some real beauties!
More 996 & Boxters around here than you can throw a stick at. Fair number of 993s, but nowhere as many as the wasser-pumpers.
Funny, did have a white convertible (964?) pull up alongside me at a light one night a couple of weeks ago. Woman in her upper 30s, maybe, with shocking white (bleached) Annie Lenox-style buzz cut. Gave me a sharp smile, but didn't say anything. Maybe because my wife was sitting next to me. ? I very rarely see any kind of interaction between drivers of the same marque here in town - just too many of them/us.

That is so odd, there are tons in Houston, few in SA. hmmmm.
When I first was looking for my C4S, I called the dealer in Houston. The salesman was so incredibly rude I was instantly turned off.
funny see mostly 911's here 50/50 split cabs and turbo's - most of the drivers not interested in the performance/handling but as status symbols - so more than 50pct are tip gearbox. out of interest the best selling marque here is mercedes outsells all others incl renault/opel/ford etc.

Im in florida....the 911s, 996s in boca raton are a dime a dozen here...

On the weekends in Boca 996 are common. I commute to Ft Lauderdale and I'm the only 996 on major highway (I-95). Boxsters are relatively common.
I've only seen one other C4S: another physician at the hospital has a black one. We drove alongside each other one day and it was fun to see another C4S.
Not many 996's in Boston area during the week, but on weekends there are more on the road--not a lot, but I see a few a day on Sat and Sun. From Nov until May very few on the road. Just bought a place in south Flordia and saw more 996's (mostly Cabs, but did see a Speed Yellow C4S)in 5 days in Miami Beach last week than I see in Boston in a month. Most people in Boston do not use Porsches as daily drivers.
Urbanski, which dealer did you call? I have an AWESOME sales person at an excellent dealer in Houston. If you need a referral, let me know.
I would also just like to know which dealer. I'm not affiliated, just curious.

I looked for his name on their website, didn't see it. Oh well
/Just wanted to add: My salesman today said there is a "doctors club" of Porsche owners and one bought a Tip 996TT.
I don't know if that's the crowd I want to hang out with here.....a turbo with a Tip??
Palting sounds like a dude I want to hang out/drive with

Hey, alright!! Let's track!!!
Advantage has some good guys, but the sales manager of a year or 2 ago is a total ***.
I told him I wanted a Rainforest / Savana '02 C2 and he said, "No you don't."
Idiot... I'm the customer and I said what I wanted, don't tell me I don't.
Momentum is a MUCH better dealership. If you ever need them, ask for Roger Gay. The sales manager, Jack (can't remember last name), is also very good.
If you're ever in Houston, let me know!
Scott
Tons of Boxsters (those Boxster people don't seem that friendly), fewer 996s where I live. I'd say 10 to 1. Thank goodness! I like to be just a little different.
Go to the Hamptons, and it's a different story!

I'm in the middle of the cornfields (U of Illinois, Champaign) and they are VERY rare. Saw one last year sometime...

All right!! Another mid-westerner. Writing to you from a little bit north (Chicago-area). Frequency in Chicago is mid-way between sparse versus California-style availability.
But the NSX, now that's another story...
Regards.
FWIW...the resident population (people, not Pcars) on Cape Cod is about 250,000..pretty slim for the area. See a Pcar about once a week. In the summer the population here averages around 700,000 as we see them every day...all kinds, all colors..even one 914, and it wasn't John Dunkle.
I live in what is probably the smallest town in Indiana (150 homes, 60 year-round) There are 9 Porsches in town. A literally perfect 356 Cab, 3 911's, 1 964,1 996C2, 1 Boxter, 1 GT2 and my 996ttX50.While there are Audi's, Benzes, Lexi, Vettes,a Bently Mulsanne turbo, a Honda S2000, 2 Miata's and even a Lancia,... Porsches rule! AS
p.s. despite the number of Porsches in town, the Porsche Nav system does not include it-we're just a blank green area.

Now that is impressive. The House/Porsche ratio of 16.7x is probably the lowest I have every seen. Congratulations!!
As for not being on the NAV system. Oh, oh...I feel a letter to Porsche NA on the way!
(Actually, curious to know who makes the maps that are used in the nav system?)
Regards.
I live in Whistler, but we have a condo in downtown Vancouver. In a 30 story hirise condo, there are at least 12 Porsches, including a 996TT and my C4S.
On our cul de sac in Whistler, theres only my Porsche out of 12 homes but there are 7 Audis, all quattro drive.
