Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As far as removal of the old, I would recommend taping up the e-brake before pulling out the old console.

I need to replace the ebrake switch can you direct me to some detailed instructions on how to get the console out so I can get to it?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Installed the painted rear console. Before ordering I wasn't able to find a picture of the combination of slate gray metallic and savanna beige so here's a couple
Thanks, he did a real nice job with the paint and you don't have to return the old console. That was important to me because I wasn't sure how the slate gray would look.
As far as removal of the old, I would recommend taping up the e-brake before pulling out the old console. I did a good job scratching up the finish and by the time I realized, it was too late. I know it's been said before but that factory finish is total crap; some minor rubbing results in complete removal down to bare plastic.
I covered up the new console with frog tape and then peeled it off after it was in place.
Thanks, that's the black/gray non-smokers kit I bought from you a few weeks ago. I planned on painting it but now I'm thinking of leaving it as-is for a while!
Looks great! I would like to paint the black interior trim arctic silver at some point. Maybe a good winter project. I need to replace the ebrake switch can you direct me to some detailed instructions on how to get the console out so I can get to it? My ebrake light doesn't go on when I set the ebrake and subsequently top doesn't always work properly. I have a 99 Boxster tiptronic.
Nice upgrade! I did mine over the winter. Good suggestion on e brake. If you find a way to remove and repaint the front part of it let me know. The back part snaps off and is easily repainted. Your are right about the factory finish. I think crayon would be more durable! I'm always glad I only paid 1/3 the cost of the car new because stuff like that would really make me mad at this price point.
