Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My hats off to anyone who changed plugs without removing mufflers for their patience.

changing the motor mounts cured the shaking seat syndrome of my car, especially at traffic lights it was pretty annoying.

I need to flush my brakes and change the spark plugs and tubes.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Easiest maintenance item ever. I also did the spark plugs and brake pads/fluid.
My hats off to anyone who changed plugs without removing mufflers for their patience. Patience and elf sixed hands are a must if you dont take the mufflers off.
Next are coolant and PS fluid, then I am finished with 60k maintenance.
Good for you mrtoro. Notice any shifting improvement? I need to flush my brakes and change the spark plugs and tubes. Your post may prompt me to shorten my list of things to do. Thanks
Yes shifting is more accurate and there is less slop under throttle. I also swapped out my shifter in favor of 997 shifter recently. So quite happy about shifting. Most important shifting improvement was without a doubt the transmission fluid. After 58k miles the original fluid was nasty. The new fluid made it smoother, especially into second gear.
This is the trendy DIY this week, I suppose. I replaced my motor mounts over the weekend. Got the parts from Pelican (Corteco brand, but it says "Rein" on the box).
I notice better throttle responsiveness, since the motor isn't flexing around when I step on it. The other improvement I notice, is during a launch from stop, I used to get a bit of a "shudder" or shake when releasing the clutch in second gear. That shake is gone now. Even though I didn't have the seat shaking syndrome, I notice the improvement.
I had an interesting experience. Had a slight shake...replaced mounts, plugs and coil packs. Shifting was definitely smoother, but I think the shake is slightly MORE noticeable.
Any thoughts??
Mine did not get worse but didn't get that much better either. I asked a tech about it and he said the transmission mount going bad can have the same effect. And he said it was a bigger job that I should have looked at when they were doing the IMS.
My old 6 speed C2 was a "notorious seat shaker" and my current C4S is half of what the C2 was, but still you wonder... So is it engine mounts or transmission mount? My C4S is a tip and has 29K "Latin America" miles, so figure about 87K USA miles...
