Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You drive like Miz Daisy, and the engine management system has adjusted accordingly.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust accordingly' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust accordingly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

How can it adjust acordingly if you drive slow and stop the car from performing when you start to drive faster.

The emgine management system should then adjust for aggressive driving.

I can see how a motor will not what to perform if you drive slow all the time but can some one explain how the management unit can do this as it gets the signal from the speed, temperture, and all other sensors that change as your driving changes and should adjust its self to the changing conditions.

Most engine management units are constintly adjusting for the changing driving conditions but if you take the unit out of a car that has been driven slow and put it in a car that has been driven fast it will not make the car that has been driven fast go any slower.

The car still performs great in speed (out run a Ducati 900ss at 215kmh on the weekend) But just seems to have lost that kick in the pants at lower revsit had.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I rev the thing to about 5-6000rpm through the gears and it revs free but still not the same down low as it was.
Need some help.
It may be me but now I have 3000KM on my C4S it feels like it has lost a bit of low down
torque it had.

It may be just getting smoother now its run in.
has any one had the same feeling after they got
some miles up?
I think it's one of three things.
1. You're getting used to the car. Most likely explanation.
2. You drive like Miz Daisy, and the engine management system has adjusted accordingly.
3. Loss of engine compression. Least likely.
If you have an "other" car, drive that for a week, then get back to the C4S. This should let you know if you are just getting used to it. Drive the C4S hard for several miles. Show that you have hair on your chest (Do you?
). The emgine management system should then adjust for aggressive driving. One other option is to test drive a new C4S.
What I have noted is that my C4S at 6400 miles seems more "eager" to launch and accelerate, but at the same time smoother. The suspension is still hard, but feels more supple, less rough. I still occasionally take out my "other" cars, just to maintain perspective, and also to satisfy the need to be mundane and boring and relaxed
.
I concur with Palting's response and have noted after 4000 miles that the car is easier to launch, which is very likely due to a bit more proficiency and better coordination on my part than anything mechanical.
Palting has it down. After only 60 miles in my new C4S I started to get used to the low end and am driving it more aggressively. Remember max torque output is at 4250 rpm. Since I am breaking it in, I reach the max just before I shut it down (4500 rpm). What a kick in the pants!

I was told that the Vario cam may not be advancing
or retarding the cams as much as they should.
Has any one had Vario faults?
I can take it to my dealer but just trying to see
if any one has had the same promlem.
Just another question.
With the Motronic unit that controls just about
all the functions including the Vario plus,
How can it adjust acordingly if you drive slow and stop the car from performing when you start to drive faster.

Hebo,
It seems that you are quite concerned about it. The best reassurance I suppose would be to have the dealership perform diagnostic tests on it. That should tell you if the variocam mechanism is not funtioning right, or if the motronic is out of kilter.
As far as I know, there have been no reports of variocam mulfunction, nor of motronic malfunction. I am no expert, but the way I understand it is the motronic has to respond to several signals before it adapts. If you accelerate a bit more than the usual or take corners just a little more aggressively, it may not change it's setting at all. On the other hand, if you send it a single clear signal, such as flooring the loud pedal to redline, it should immediately adapt.
Anyway, as I said, best reassurasnce for you would be a visit to the dealership. Good luck, and let us know. Hope this helps.
