This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I gave my car liposuction. Before: After: Looks like RUF Turbo (except for about 200HP)

POST 2Original post

Don, Absolutely jaw dropping! I can't take my eyes off the screen.

POST 3Original post

Don Very nice! A well integrated job. What spoiler do you have in the rear? Who really needs the extra 200 hp anyway on the Cape?

POST 4Original post

Hi Don, That looks awesome, congrats! Did you have a clear bra installed yet? I have a "pre-nose job" >2002 Cab and some aftermarket companies are offering an aftermarket turbo nose for older 996s, but I'm hestitant to go non-factory....any opinions? Enjoy your beautiful cab!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, I don't have any nose "condoms" on my new nose...yet. I know I need the protection, but there are no stonegard/armourfend installers anywhere near me. I can't really comment on other front noses like RUF or perhaps TechArt...but I assume they're well made and accepted as legitimate modifications....probably much cheaper as well.

POST 6Original post

don - congrats looks great - roughly how much did the whole thing cost to do??

POST 7Original post

Don, I just drove to Rye NY, the home of Armourfend and had the complete treatment done to my C2. It looks really great on the silver type colors. It shows much less (the film line) then on my Royal red (dark) M-5. Looks great here also, and has really saved the paint job from lots of dings. I was in and out in about 4 hours, (they do a lot of Porsche cars) and since this is their home US office, its where they train the new installers so they have "adult" supervision. If they are not training you get the instructor to install. I've had both, and both are excellent. One thing to consider is their ability to mix cars, ie. turbo nose, regular rear end. They have lots of templates. Joe Kane, Jr is the guy I talk to. He's the owner. [phone removed]

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Stem..thanks for the info. My daughter lives in Rye, so I can make a day of it. Great advice!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dom4471, I think I forgot to answer you on cost of Turbo nose. My total was $1600 for the nose, re-paint and assembly. I just don't know if that's typical. Certainly not if you have to buy a Turbo nose in white out of a catalog.

POST 12Original post

Very nice, Don. I'll bet you can't stop grinning.

POST 13Original post

Don, I had Chambers in Boston do a clear treatment called "autobahn" on my new turbo. The company is somewhere in MA. and comes to the dealer to do the application. It was $695.00 for the complete car. The install included the full nose, bonnet, fender lips, mirrors, below gas cap, sides of headlight, etc. Very good and complete coverage of the front end nose piece. I have a small wrinkle and they are coming to my home to replace the piece this week, so they stand behind it as well.

POST 14Original post

Nicest looking Cab I've ever seen. That and the Ruf RGT kitted silver cab I saw yesterday.
