Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Adjust accordingly' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust accordingly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Those pressures are exactly what I have been using on the track.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

996FLT6,
Those pressures are exactly what I have been using on the track. They seem to work well for me. I have P-Zero Rossos, 225/285 X 18. Any lower and the tires start to roll over in those tight corners, much higher than that and it starts to skate all over the place....
996FLT6,
I assume that your are using
street
tires: the DOT race tire pressures will be different (and brand dependent).
The good news is that the street tires have a broad range (maybe 5psi) of pressure where they perform well. So if you are within that range, you are in good shape.
Ad hoc
, 32/36 cold is a good starting point. But what you should care about is
hot
pressure which will depend upon the ambient temperature during the day, the particular track and your driving style. My understanding is, hot pressure of anywhere around 40-45 psi is good (maybe I'm a bit biased on the upper side). Check it after each session and adjust accordingly!
Besides the obvious visual signs of under/overinflation: too little/too much wear on the shoulder listen for the squal near the tire's limit: "A squealing tire is a happy tire"
If the tire is silent when you are pushing hard it is very likely to be overinflated (46 psi and up).
I am still learning myself and a pretty expensive education it is at 1,200+ per set. I'm hoping for PZero Corsa to come in my size (295 rear) soon!
I amen to that. Tracking is an expensive sport but darn what a blast it is. And making your car track as well as possible it's just fun but expensive. Thanks for the input. I thought 36/32 is about the right tire pressure since I felt it handled better. Regards. Mike

295/30R18 for the 996 Turbo? This size is already available in Corsa.

No, it looks like this tire is still on a worldwide backorder. At least, it was as of last week.

Gert confirmed last week that the 295/30 is on an indefinite backorder in Europe.

Bad news. I guess this is the problem with limited production tyres like this.
In fact, I was planning on buying some of these from Gert in a month or so. Hopefully the problem is resolved by then.
Thanx for the info Viken!

Wow! I guess when they come in, they will cost twice as much! So much for my plan to save money by buying track dedicated tires. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />
