Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
The low miles are tempting, but lack of use(low miles) may contribute to some much discussed 996 ailments, ie.
Leading evidence: 'Use (low miles) may contribute' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use (low miles) may contribute' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Not ruling the 996 out just yet. This one is just 3 hours from my house. What are your thoughts.
Also, a C4 with 86,000 miles (a black 99 with sport seats) popped up too for $16,500.
That might be worth it. Drive the crap out of it then dump an X-51 in there.
Decisions.....
I think since it looks like a dealers car you'ld be better off haggling at the dealer. Ebaying the car like they have means they are trying for the best price. Would be intersting to see what they figure is the reserve price. What would you think a dealer would put as a reserve? Yah pretty high probably unless they want to dump it. I think bid now is higher than what you could haggle at the dealers.
I like the white personally. Not too common, maybe tougher to sell than a black one. The black interior is a good match. I wonder what options it has. The 99 models were available with LSD (option 220).
Mileage is low though eh? That's often times not great for these cars (apparantly).
Yeah..decisions. I like that one myself. What's an extra $2K on a $20K car anyway. I'd be shopping the car and not the price at that point.
You live in Vegas? I wouldn't want a black car in the desert sun....
I like that white one, except for the comfort seats, I prefer the standard leather seats which don't show the wear so much.....
The white one just needs some 18's with some spacers and ditch the pumpkins, and you'd be rollin'....
You can call the dealer and ask the reserve price, I've had them tell me before.
That looks nice. Will be curious where the auction ends... and what the reserve is. If you like white, there is a sweet looking C4 on Craigslist up in Nor Cal. I will try to post a photo and then link below.

Even though I own a black C2, I'd lean towards the white 911. The low miles are tempting, but lack of use(low miles) may contribute to some much discussed 996 ailments, ie. RMS etc. If price is your biggest determinator, then the black 911 with 86k on the odometer might be your best fit. GL and let us know which you might buy.
Here is another link to the dealer. They are a Porsche dealer so that may be a plus. But look at the asking price, $32,000!
The interior is not black but rather metropole blue.
As for options, it looks like it has auto AC, supple leather, delete ashtray, rear wiper, heated seats and hi-fi sound.
I'll give them a call today and see what is going on. I'll keep you posted.

It looks like a very nice low mileage 1999. Not a lot of options and very similar to my car I just sold.
Forget what the ad price says call the dealer they will negotiate or they are crazy. This car with the 21k miles should fetch 23-26k all day long but nothing over 26k(and I think this is too much to pay IMHO), Car must be clean title and no accidents and in pristine condition with nothing needed.
At 26k they should offer 2 year warranty included. 23/24 w/o max
Not likely. If bait and switch the idea is to get you to visit the dealership so the dealer/salesman can offer you the switch when it just so happened the car (the bait) sold just before you arrived.
The idea is not to get you to make a phone call. No car dealer, car salesman wants to try to sell a car over the phone. They want you in front of them to work their "magic".
Don't worry and don't spend any more time thinking about what was or could have been. Better safe than sorry. Remember: There is always another car.
Stay focused on finding the perfect car for you.
Sincerely,
Macster.
Too funny. That's the car I posted above. Apparently they are posting in Craigslist all over the place but the car is here in Nor Cal. I don't like white but that car has me thinking....

A great site that aggregates Craigslist ads from around the country. Several times I have noticed the same car in more than one place with different contact info for each listing. Usually in FL.
