Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The only problem was the last run of day two, where they let our group run two sessions almost back to back with just one other 22 minute group in between our two runs, where the brake fluid(Porsche fluid) boiled and the pedal went to the floor.
Leading evidence: 'last lap anyway' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'last lap anyway' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Run of day two, where they let our group' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Greetings all, Monday and Tuesday were my 2nd and 3rd day of DE with my 996. Figured some would like my impressions. I have done many DE's with other Porsches over the last few years or so. The 996 is a fairly new car for me, as I purchased it in January 2002. My car is a stock suspension 1999 C2 Coupe with 18 inch wheel upgrade. The car is really smooth and fast as hell around the corners of NHIS, New Hampshire Internation Speedway(www.NHIS.com). I had four runs per day, two days. The car is a champ! The only problem was the last run of day two, where they let our group run two sessions almost back to back with just one other 22 minute group in between our two runs, where the brake fluid(Porsche fluid) boiled and the pedal went to the floor. I ended the session right away, it was the last lap anyway.
All in all, it is spectacular on the track, just wish I had the ROW-030.....
I participated in quite a few DE's and gives me a smile each time. I'm getting my ROW M030 suspension done next week so will be off again on the track July 27th and test it out. Cannot wait!!! How can you tell if the brake fluid was boiling other then brakes were getting mushy? I guess what I'm asking is what are you planning to do to offset that in the future as yet haven't got the mushy brakes but then again never done the track 2 days in a row which maybe is the reason. Regards. Mike
I had similar brake problems in my Boxtser. I switched pads to Pagid orange and it made a world of difference. Also keep on mind that you want to have 1/4-1/2 minimum pad left - never run them all the way down.
I plan to stick with factory Porsche brake pads and goto ATE Super Blue brake fluid. That way I get no brake squeal and higher temp on the brake fluid...
My OEM pads faded to bad after 20 mins at Pocono I almost had to pull in early!!! Avoid the OEM pads!
Orange is a step up from Black in their scale.
Orange - Race
Black - Race/Sport
Blue - Sport/Street
They don't really squeal that much. Not enough to warrant me worrying about it.
Ed did you notice much problems with the oranges on the street since I heard ther most effective when hot but not so great when cold. I'm thinking about switching to Pagids but need to know which colored Pagid is the way to go. Don't really care too much about brake squeal since OEM squeals abit after good use. Regards. Mike
