Traded my 93 Cab for a 99 Carrera Coupe last January. Car had 29,000 miles. The non Porsche dealer performed maintenance on the brakes at time of purchase. New pads were installed. Two thousand miles later, the brakes still squeel like hell. Stead Porsche in Walnut Creek says the parts are fine and the work was done right. Anyone find a way to stop the embarassing squeeling. It happens after the brakes are warm. Dealer said a silencing kit is available. Is that necessary?

From the Porsche Technical Service Manual: "* Replace vibration dampers each time the pads are changed." IMHO... the dealer should have done that the first time.
