Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Gonna pull tranny out tomorrow to replace noisy bearing(s).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i'll be changing the oil when i get it out of storage in march (first time trying this)
someone else will be installing pss9's, upgrading the turbos and a reflash
wash it - super dirty
clean inside - a little dirty
ARB ( sway bar) install - lets get dirty
brake flush - and stop better
wish list:
rear wing
IMS bearing upgrade
new rotors and pads
clear bra (not DIY)
3 spoke wheel
A/C re-charge (not DIY)
Sunroof track repair (not DIY)
Sell it <shrugs>
well that aint gonna happen
track inspection
money for DE's (are they a DIY event ?
)
BTW OP- lifetime coolant.......... though many do change it
PSS9 install (they're in the shed waiting for decent weather). A transmission flush wouldn't be a bad idea.
I did the brakes, centre console delete, and HR sway bars already. I wouldn't mind a track seat, but I like my heated seats too much.
Not much else to do really, except drive it.
Flattened out old cardboard box or boxes is mans best friend while laying on the ground. Cold, wet or dirt is no problem.
I let the dealer do an inspection but I have to do my own some time soon and get a good look with it up in the air. Then I'm tempted to change the shocks.
I think I can handle it with all the DIY tips laying around - pulling out the CDR-220 radio and cupholders for a double-DIN Navi unit and an upgraded four channel amp.

Waiting till end of March to take car out of storage, but have to replace the 4 stalk signal controller since the turn signal don't cancel and lock, then if the price is right a set of KW V3 coilovers
Now that my SS is done, I'm going to be doing the clear 3rd brake light this weekend! I also want to change the shift **** and to that effect I've ordered the shift boot\silver trim from Carnewal. Now, if I could only decide on which shift **** to get - I'm leaning towards the 997 Turbo ****, but I'll keep my options open.
I got the clear 3rd brake light for Christmas. You don't need a weekend to put that thing on - just shy of 15 minutes will do it. Piece of cake and even faster than doing a pumpkin harvest. Sure looks great after it's installed!

I sprinkle "magic dust" on my car each weekend, hoping it will turn into a Porsche. About a month ago, I changed from dry "magic dust" to "magic dust" disolved in water. I was worried that if the dry "magic dust" worked, my car might become an air cooled Porsche, so I am not taking any chances!
-brake flush - cant find records of one EVER being done
-replace failing headlight switch like many other form what I can tell
-replace burnt city light
-wash wax in about 2 months
too cold in nyc these days
I wasn't knocking air cooled cars. I will admit that I don't know enough about them about them to knock them.
If I am going to "wish" for something, I want to get something with which I am familiar.
