Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. Anyone add a fixed wing to replace the pop-up wing on a C-2?
Leading evidence: 'Replace pop-up wing' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace pop-up wing' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone add a fixed wing to replace the pop-up wing on a C-2? I like the look of a fixed wing but I don't want to add a wing that would weigh alot more than stock for the obvious reason. A discussion I had with PCA tech led me to look for a wing that would funnel more cold air through the intake. I have a Fabspeed box mod with BMC filter but PCA says Porsche computer still cuts back horsepower as temperature starts climbing above 68 F so the trick is to design more cold air intake, as any air coming in through engine bay area will be pretty warm no matter what sort of mod. you've made there.Techart and Ruf appear to have external intakes and I was wondering how they route air to the intake box. TIA for info.
The TechArt fixed rear wing kit for the 02 996 removed the movable grille plus power to raise it, and replaces it with a lightweight plastic grille plus the fixed rear wing. Looks like the openings in the grille are larger than stock movable wing and the spoiler looks like it directs air downward. Have no science to prove it tho...although if it's factory...???
Actually, the factory aerokit (same as GT3) does a pretty good job of ducting outside air to the intake. Perhaps the PCA guy was talking about intake air coolers (intercoolers)?
(see the inside of my aerokit deck lid below)
I wonder if anyone has added a turbo fixed wing/engine cover on a C2 & if it would be light enough and do what you want it to do air flow wise. I really like the way the Turbo wing looks better than anything else out there, IMO.
I like the Spoiler II setup from Techart, they have air ducts built into the spoiler. The only thing I do not like is the two piece design.

Loren, do you have an exterior shot of the intake port? I've seen intercoolers on Turbos, do they make them for normally aspirated engines to cool the air? Thanks.
First, I am not an intercooler expert. I do not know of any intercoolers for normally aspirated engines (there could be but I am not aware of one). Just turbos?
Here are a couple external shots of the factory aerokit inlet. The vents/ducting also are used for the engine compartment purge fan (which is what the fan does) that pulls cool air into the engine compartment. That's right it "sucks" air in
I wish I could see whats inside the deck lid for channeling air but I can't.
